Mistrial Because of Sudoku Addiction!

I made a visit to yahoo.com today, as I do most days, and one of the front page articles’ title read “Sudoku Addicts Halt Drugs Trial.”  I had to take a peak!  I’m interested because Sudoku happens to be one of the latest on the list of those numbers games which I cannot and perhaps will not ever understand.  I’ve never been good with numbers nor have I ever particularly enjoyed working with them.  Why would I “crunch” them for the fun of it?

Well, for many many people Sudoku has become an addiction!  I think Sudoku and games like it can have real benefits i.e. exercising the mind.  However, just like all things, moderation is the key.

Can we think of any other good things that can take us away from what we should be doing? Some obvious things would be work, hobbies, and volunteer work.  Another good one would be losing touch with your family because you are too busy in “the ministry.”  Is that possible?  Can we do so much work “for the Lord” that we lose that which is most precious to us?

Notice I put the words “for the Lord” in quotation marks because I did that on purpose.  My contention is are we doing work “for the Lord” if He is not pleased with us losing our family? In fact, I believe one of Satan’s goals is to break up the Christian family.  We need to actually follow the Lord, which means in EVERY area of life!

Too much of one good thing means taking away from other good things.  Let us do all things to the glory of God (Colossians 10:31).

Back Up And Running!!!

I apologize for the site going off-line for a period of time this weekend.  I had some unexpected trouble but I resolved it so here we are again!

I know, you may be saying to yourself, “Big deal!  You upset the only 2 or so readers you’ve got!  You’ll find more!”  Well, everyone is important and I don’t want anyone upset!  I may find more but NOBODY is replaceable so if you are one of my readers, PLEASE accept my apologies!

Posts will be coming consistently again soon enough!
