Mail Delivery Will Possibly Only Occur 5 Days a Week

Interesting idea, huh?  Mail has been coming 6 days a week for as long as I remember.  This proposal could change all of that.  I read about this on my local News Channel’s website, WKTV.com.  While asking around, I have heard quite a few different opinions on the subject.  For you, my readers, I have a few questions that you can answer in the comments section:

  1. Do you think it is a good idea for the Post Office to cut a day of delivery?
  2. Which day should go and why?
  3. What kind of things do you think have contributed to the economic hardships of the Post Office?
  4. What are some other ideas that could help them save/make money?

That’d be just weird if they cut a day out. Saturday would make the most sense to cut out, though, on the other hand, it’s probably one of the only days full-time workers have to actually sit down and read/send out mail? I think that the internet has really cut back the Post Office’s position, e-mail is quicker, more efficient, and free…things that are high on the priority list now days.

Personally, I hate sitting down on my only quite day to do mail, but that’s just me!

I wonder if there are ways that the Post Office could use modern technology to cut back costs instead of letting it hurt them.
