Today I am beginning a series set for every Friday: FireFox Fridays!  OK, I’m sure it’s not too original, but here goes!  Each Friday I will attempt to bring a post detailing something about the FireFox browser.  It may be an addon, and it might be a news article or update.  Today I want to talk about an addon I’m testing out.

Yesterday I finally launched my adventure into the online phenomenon we know as Twitter.  I even slapped together a post about it containing some links I found helpful while just trying to figure out the point.

Well, as it turns out, there are some FireFox addons that help you tweet easier.  I installed one and am in the process of trying it out.

It’s called “TwitterFox” and the idea is cool.  It adds a little “T” at the bottom of the screen that you can click on to tweet directly from the browser.  I believe updates flash up when they arrive in your Twitter profile.

The one tool it has that I enjoy is the link button.  Basically, whatever web page you are looking at, pressing the link button pops the link into the tweet you are working on.  Very handy for sharing links and I love sharing links to sites I find interesting!

What are your thoughts?  Have you tried Twitter?  Do you use any FireFox addons that aid in your tweeting endeavours?

Stay tuned next Friday for yet another “FireFox Friday“!
